Devils Rumors: Latest On New Jersey's Trade Plans
After entering this season with very high expectations, the New Jersey Devils have had a slow start, sporting a 9-9-1 record in their first 19 games. They also have only won three out of their last 10 games, so there has been speculation that they could aggressively test the trade market. However, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun poured water on that fire, as he noted that the Devils want to "find their 'A' game" before making moves.
With this report, it is clear that the Devils have faith in their roster and believe that they will heat up. It is understandable, as they are starting to get healthier, with Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier now both back in the lineup.
However, if this cold stretch of play carries on, there is certainly a good chance that the Devils could look to make some changes to their group. We will now need to wait and see what ends up happening with the Metropolitan Division club as the year carries on from here.
