Ducks Rumors: 2 Potential Landing Spots for Ilya Lyubushkin
The Anaheim Ducks are rapidly falling in the standings, and defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin is starting to generate buzz as a trade candidate because of it. Due to this, let's go over two potential landing spots for the right-shot defenseman.
Boston Bruins: The Bruins' right side has some serious questions on the bottom pairing. Kevin Shattenkirk and Ian Mitchell have not been permanent answers for the role, so perhaps they could target a player like Lyubushkin. He would make up for the physicality they lost with Connor Clifton walking. However, Boston would need Anaheim to retain salary in a potential move.
New Jersey Devils: The Devils have been on the hunt for a defenseman to play on their right side, so Lyubushkin could make sense for them. He would be a nice fit on their bottom pairing and also work on their penalty kill if acquired.
We will now need to wait and see if either of these two teams end up landing Lyubushkin during this season from here.
