Ducks Rumors: Defenseman Listed As Trade Candidate
The Athletic released their most recent NHL trade board today (Nov. 29), and one intriguing name on it is Anaheim Ducks defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin.
New, for @TheAthletic: With Thanksgiving behind us and a Vancouver/Chicago deal made last night, the NHL's trading period is here. It's early, but never too early to start sizing up the market.

Lyubushkin is in the final season of his contract, so he certainly is standing out as a prime rental candidate. After a hot start to the season, the Ducks have lost seven straight and now sport a rough 9-13-0 record.
Lyubushkin will certainly get attention on the trade market, as he's a steady defensive defenseman who plays a very heavy game. This will make him a popular target for contenders looking to add some toughness to their blue line, so this will be something to keep an eye on over these next few months.
In 22 games this season, the 6-foot-2 defenseman has two assists to go along with 42 hits and 56 blocks.
Some teams who could consider adding Lyubushkin this season include the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, and New Jersey Devils.
