Flames Rumors: Insider Links Nikita Zadorov to 4 Teams

It has been a few weeks since Calgary Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov requested a trade from the team. There have been several clubs linked to him since, and NHL insider Kevin Weekes provided an update regarding the sweepstakes. The former NHL goalie reported that the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Dallas Stars are all currently suitors for Zadorov.

With Adam Pelech recently being placed on LTIR, it makes sense that the Islanders are looking to add him. He would immediately fit in their top four if added.

The Devils, Maple Leafs, and Stars have all been linked to Zadorov since he requested his trade, and it is not surprising that they are still looking to add him. Each of these clubs could use more physicality on their blue lines, and Big Z would give them just that.

We will now need to wait and see if the increased interest in Zadorov leads to a trade centering around the disgruntled defenseman soon.
