Flames Rumors: Latest on Nikita Zadorov Trade Talk

According to NHL insider Kevin Weekes, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars, and New Jersey Devils are all very interested in acquiring Calgary Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov.

Weekes also noted that trade discussions could start to pick up when the Maple Leafs get back from the Global Series in Sweden.

Zadorov recently requested a trade from the Flames, and there naturally has been plenty of interest in him. However, it appears that these three teams are now being viewed as the frontrunners for his services.

Zadorov would be a huge addition to any of these three teams, as he is very physical defenseman who plays a steady game and also chips in offensively. In other words, he is exactly the kind of player that playoff teams love.

We will now need to wait and see if any of these three teams end up acquiring Zadorov soon from here.
