Frightening, Shocking Galchenyuk Video Emerges

Shocking video has emerged of former No. 3 overall draft pick Alex Galchenyuk's arrest this past summer on a DUI. He was charged with threatening the life of a police officer in Arizona. Now we have the police body-cam footage, and it is frightening and disturbing, to say the least. *Note: this is NSFW, and caution is advised in watching this.

The obviously stone-drunk Galchenyuk berates the arresting officers, one of whom was black, with a racial slur, while shouting out threats to kill an officer's entire family.

Just days after signing him to a one-year deal, the Arizona Coyotes terminated his contract immediately upon learning of the incident. He later apologized for what he called his "deeply offensive, uncalled for, horrendous, embarrassing, disrespectful, and just plain awful” conduct.

In August, Galchenyuk pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor threatening charge and had the other five charges dropped.

The 29-year-old Russian was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Draft with the No. 3 overall pick, and also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Arizona Coyotes, among other teams. After seeing this video, however, it's clear that we've certainly seen the last of the 11-year veteran forward in the NHL.
