Maple Leafs’ Mark Giordano Injured vs. Panthers
The injury bug is continuing to bite the Toronto Maple Leafs, as veteran defenseman Mark Giordano left the club’s contest against the Florida Panthers early after suffering an upper-body injury.
This is certainly concerning news for the Maple Leafs, as their defensive group already is missing players, and now Giordano may be the next player who will need to miss time. However, at this juncture, an update on the veteran defenseman has not been provided, so we will need to wait and see what happens on that front.
Giordano has been seeing big minutes due to the Maple Leafs’ injury trouble, so they will be hoping that this injury ends up not being too serious.
In 19 games played so far this season, the 40-year-old defenseman has one goal, four assists, and an even plus/minus rating.
Here’s to hoping that Giordano’s injury ends up not being too serious and that he has a speedy recovery from here.
