Maple Leafs Try To Spark Lineup By Recalling Nicholas Robertson

The left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs has been concerning this season. What initially looked like it was going to be a real success with the top three left wingers being Tyler Bertuzzi, Max Domi, and Matthew Knies, has turned into a blender.

Bertuzzi has been tried on all of the lines so far, even being demoted to the fourth line for a bit. Knies has proven to be the most deserving of a top-six spot and has taken over the top line. But there is a new face in town that fans should be excited about. Nick Robertson has finally been called up this season after tearing up the AHL on the Toronto Marlies so far this season and the need for reinforcements.

Robertson should slot into the top-nine, and he has proven that he doesn't belong in the AHL anymore with five goals and 11 points in the first nine games of the season. Like Knies is starting to help offensively and show a lot of effort, Robertson won't waste his opportunity to do so as well and force the Maple Leafs to keep him around. The team has been struggling, he is a nice breath of fresh air in Toronto.
