Minnesota Wild to Receive Big Boost vs. Devils

The Minnesota Wild are getting one of their stars back for their Thursday's game against the New Jersey Devils, as Matthew Boldy is expected to play, per head coach Dean Evason.

Defenseman Jared Spurgeon has also returned to practice and is inching closer to his eventual return. However, Evason said that Spurgeon is still working his way back.

While Spurgeon is unlikely to return against New Jersey, it is great news that he is progressing with his recovery. With that, it is even better that Boldy is expected to play, as the Wild could use his offense. They are off to a cold start, and Boldy will give them a big boost.

Boldy has played in two games this season, where he has one goal to go along with an assist. It was a solid start for the young forward before his injury, so don't be surprised if he keeps this kind of play up now that he is good to go.
