Holloway awkwardly collided into the boards after losing an edge while aiming to secure a puck. The 2020 first-round pick left the game following the play, and now we have been given an update on the youngster. Unfortunately, it is far from good news.
This is tough news for the 22-year-old forward, as this is a big year in his development. With that, he was starting to show signs of improvement, as he scored his first goal of the season against the Seattle Kraken during the game before. Unfortunately, his potential hot streak is over before it had the chance to get started.
We will now need to wait and hear what Holloway's official expected recovery timeline is, but given this report from Gregor, it seems that he will be out for quite some time.
