Predators Rumors: Tommy Novak Becoming Trade Candidate

It has been a nightmare of a season for the Nashville Predators thus far, and that could lead them to be sellers again this campaign. If they do end up selling and Tommy Novak is not signed to an extension by the deadline, do not be surprised if he is dealt.

Novak had a breakout season with the Predators and became one of their top forwards in the process. So far in 2023-24, he has continued to perform well, as he has six goals and 12 points in 14 games. Needless to say, he is continuing to prove that he is a solid point producer at the NHL level, and there should be a ton of interest in him if he is shopped because of it.

With that, Novak carries an easily affordable $800,000 cap hit, so he would be a complete steal for any team. As a result, the Predators could get a pretty good return for him if they shop him and he continues to play well.

We will now need to wait and see if the Predators end up officially moving Novak from here.
