Predators Rumors: Tyson Barrie Becoming Trade Candidate

The Nashville Predators have had a brutal start to the season, as they have a 5-10-0 record in their first 15 games. They are also trending in the wrong direction, as they have lost four straight. Due to this, they are starting to seem like sellers for this season, and one player to watch in trade chatter is defenseman Tyson Barrie.

Barrie is in the final season of his contract and would be a solid rental candidate for the Preds to shop. This is because he is an effective offensive defenseman with plenty of experience. Teams looking for a bit more production from the point would surely express interest in the veteran at the deadline if made available.

In 15 games this season for the Predators, Barrie has seven assists. On a strong offensive team, his numbers could go up significantly, just like they did during his days with the Edmonton Oilers.

We will now need to wait and see if Barrie ends up being dealt this season from here.
