Predators Rumors: Yakov Trenin Becoming Trade Candidate

The Nashville Predators have had a tough start to the season, and changes could be on the way because of it. Due to this, one player who we should keep an eye on this season in the trade market is forward Yakov Trenin.

Trenin is in the final season of his contract, and he is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent (UFA) at the end of the season. Due to this, the Predators are very likely to move him this season if he does not sign an extension, and they will be out of the playoff race by the time the trade deadline moves around.

Teams in need of some help in their bottom six are likely to target Trenin. This is because he plays a solid two-way game, plays physically, and also contributes a bit offensively. These are the kind of role players that playoff teams like to add.

We will now need to wait and see if the Preds end up moving Trenin this season from here. It will all depend on whether they can turn their season around or not.
