Sabres Rumors: Victor Olofsson Still Available for Trade

For a significant portion of the offseason, the Buffalo Sabres shopped Victor Olofsson. They were unable to get a deal done during the summer, so he is still with the club. However, he has become the odd man out on their roster, and the club is still looking to move him.

Teams looking for a bit more scoring could be open to the prospect of bringing in Olofsson. Just last season, he had 28 goals, so he can be quite effective when playing at his best. However, his cap hit is not the best, and he has struggled to remain consistent, as evidenced by his lowered role by the Sabres.

At this point, the Sabres may be in a position where they would need to move him for future considerations or even add on a draft pick because of how tight cap space is around the league. That is far from ideal, but at the same time, he really would benefit from a change of scenery.

Alas, we will now need to wait and see if the Sabres are able to pull the trigger on a potential Olofsson trade this season from here.
