Wild Rumors: Pat Maroon's Future In Minnesota Looking Murky
The Minnesota Wild have had a disastrous 2023-24 season. At the time of this writing, they have a 6-10-4 record, and only the Chicago Blackhawks have fewer points than them in the Central Division. If they do not turn things around quickly, they will be sellers, and Pat Maroon will be a prime rental candidate because of it.
Maroon is in the final season of his contract, and so far, he has been quite solid for the Wild. In 20 games played this season, he has two goals to go along with 10 points. That is pretty solid production from the bottom-six forward, and given his physical style of play, several teams will pursue him if he is officially made available.
The Athletic recently listed Maroon on their latest trade board as well, so this is something that fans will need to keep a very close eye on as we get closer to the deadline. We will need to wait and see if he ends up being dealt at some point this season from here.
