4 Blackhawks Forwards to be Trade Pieces

The Chicago Blackhawks continue the first season of the Bedard Era slogging along at the bottom of the league, and as the new year approaches, four forwards are now being held out as trade pieces ahead of the deadline. 

Per the insiders at The Fourth Period, these pending unrestricted free agents will all be available as the Hawks' rebuild moves along:

Jason Dickinson

With 9 goals and 14 points in 31 games, the 28-year-old forward will see his $2.65M cap hit contract come to an end this season. "I know if I play my game and just do what I do, the contract will sort itself out. Money is money. I'm happy with whatever it is I can get. I just want to keep playing, really. If I do my job, I know I'll get a contract."

Nick Foligno

The 36-year-old is having a decent season in the Windy City with 15 points in 31 games. He's on a one-year, $4M deal, and as a veteran, he's been traded at the deadline before. 

Tyler Johnson

At 33, Johnson is in his 3rd season with Chicago, and coming off a 7-year, $35M pact ($5M cap hit). The Blackhawks will certainly have to retain a part of that huge hit to get a deal done for the middle-six forward. He does own a 20-team trade list.

Anthony Beauvillier

The recently-acquired former first-rounder is just 26, but he could be on the move yet again this season. He holds an expiring cap hit of $4.15M, and again, the Hawks may need to retain some of that.
