Avalanche Rumors: Colorado Not Done Making Trades
The Colorado Avalanche made a move earlier tonight (Dec. 15), trading winger Tomas Tatar to the Seattle Kraken. Tatar was not a fit in Colorado's system, so they moved him and his $1.5 million cap hit. Now, with a forward spot open in their lineup, expect another trade from the Avalanche soon.
Moving out Tatar's salary has given the Avalanche more freedom to make an addition to their lineup. It is not a secret that they have been looking for help down the middle, and this could be the first step in adding a new center.
The Avalanche have some potential options to choose from to help them at center. Two prime trade targets include Sean Monahan (Montreal Canadiens) and Morgan Frost (Philadelphia Flyers).
Nevertheless, after this Tatar move, don't be surprised if the Avs add a center to their roster in the upcoming weeks. There's now a spot available in their top nine.
