Calgary Flames Getting Big Boost Soon
While speaking to reporters, Calgary Flames head coach Ryan Huska said that goaltender Jacob Markstrom and defenseman Chris Tanev are both very close to returning to the lineup, as relayed by Wes Gilbertson.
Markstrom and Tanev did not play against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but they should not miss many more games from here. That is great news, as Markstrom and Tanev are key parts of the Flames' roster. With that, they are looking to climb in the standings, so getting back two important players is certainly beneficial for them.
Markstrom will give the Flames their starting goaltender back, while Tanev will provide them with their top defensive defenseman. We will now need to wait and see when exactly they come back in the lineup, but don't be surprised if it is against the Florida Panthers on Dec. 18.
