Colorado Avalanche & Seattle Kraken Strike A Deal

Tomas Tatar is on the move, as the Colorado Avalanche have traded the veteran winger to the Seattle Kraken in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round pick. 

The Kraken are having a brutal start to the season, so it makes sense that they have added to their roster. Scoring has been an issue for them, and Tatar has the potential to give them just that.

Tatar has had a down season with the Avalanche and had trouble fitting into their system. In 27 games with the Avs, the veteran winger had just one goal to go along with nine points. Brought in to provide scoring to their middle six, it just did not work out, and now he will look to heat back up as a member of the Kraken.

Overall, this has the potential to be a good move for Seattle. Tatar is only signed for the season, so there's no real risk in the move. If he does well and Seattle continues to struggle, he also would make for a good trade candidate at the deadline.
