Insider Lists "4 Most Likely To Be Traded Before March Trade Deadline"
Adam Proteau, an analyst at The Hockey News, has recently unveiled his list of the top four prime trade candidates as the NHL trade deadline approaches on March 8th.
These four players, all on the cusp of unrestricted free agency next July, have become the center of attention in the trade rumor mill.
First on Proteau's radar is Chris Tanev, the skilled defenseman from the Calgary Flames.
Tanev's name has been linked to multiple teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New Jersey Devils.

There's also a tantalizing possibility of the Colorado Avalanche entering the fray, contingent upon their ability to navigate the salary cap waters.
Next up is Adam Henrique, the seasoned forward currently with the Anaheim Ducks.
Proteau's analysis highlights Henrique's history with New York Islanders' GM Lou Lamoriello, who drafted him during their time together with the New Jersey Devils.

With Lamoriello at the helm on Long Island, Henrique has become a tempting option for the Islanders to bolster their forward lines.
Rounding out the list are Kaapo Kahkonen, the goaltender from the San Jose Sharks, and Tyler Johnson, the center from the Chicago Blackhawks.

As the Sharks find themselves in a rebuilding phase, Kahkonen represents a valuable trade asset, possibly fetching future assets like draft picks or prospects.
Meanwhile, Johnson's availability from the Blackhawks has stirred interest among teams seeking center depth, including the Boston Bruins, should they miss out on other targets like Elias Lindholm from the Flames. Photo Credit: Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports
