Maple Leafs' Keefe Provides Update On Ryan Reaves

While speaking to reporters, Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said that Reaves' injury is not as bad as it was originally believed and that he will be on injured reserve instead of long-term injured reserve.

Reaves was injured during the Maple Leafs' last game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and needed help to get off of the ice, as he was unable to put any weight down on his leg. Following the game, Keefe said that Reaves would be out for a while, but now things have changed on that front.

This is good news for the Maple Leafs, as their toughest forward should miss far less time than expected. While he has had a disappointing start to the season, his toughness makes him a key part of their bottom six.

We will now need to wait and see how much time he misses from here.
