Winnipeg Jets Place Forward on Waivers
The unfortunate news of Kyle Connor's extended absence on Wednesday provided a one-day call-up for forward Dominic Toninato. Now, the 29-year-old could be heading straight back down to the Manitoba Moose, as he's been placed on waivers.
Dominic Toninato is on waivers for two reasons today:

1. He was healthy scratched last night, so he was converted to a regular recall.
2. This resets his 30-day clock, giving the Jets more roster flexibility. Today was Day 30. #NHLJets
Toninato spent his latest day with Winnipeg as a healthy scratch, which he has been on numerous occasions, after recording six points on two goals and four assists through nine games with Manitoba. He's played a total of 169 games in the NHL throughout his career, 84 of them with Winnipeg, averaging about 9 minutes a night, while posting a total of 30 points.
The former 5th-round pick cleared waivers back on October 2, and has been listed on Winnipeg's roster for a full month, meaning he needs to clear waivers once again to be sent down.
If a team looking for a depth center with size (6'2", 200 pounds) puts in a claim, he would be done with the Jets organization after three-plus years.
