Blues Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Kevin Hayes
St. Louis Blues forward Kevin Hayes has been picking up some steam in the rumor mill as a trade candidate. If the Blues elect to be sellers, they certainly could look to move the veteran forward. As a result, let's go over a few teams who could make a push for him over these next few weeks now.
Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins have long been connected to Hayes due to his Massachusetts upbringing. Now, it may make sense to bring him in. The Bruins have been looking for middle-six forwards and centers, and Hayes just so happens to fit that description. If the Blues are willing to eat some of his salary, there could be a good match here.
New York Rangers: The New York Rangers seem like a potential landing spot for Hayes, too. He, of course, played there during the beginning years of his NHL career, and now a reunion could make sense. Filip Chytil has been out for a large portion of the season due to a concussion, and the Blueshirts are expected to add a 3C because of it. Perhaps Hayes could be their guy.
Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals could use a boost down the middle, so they also could be a good landing spot for Hayes. However, when noting that Hayes can also play the wing, he could be a strong match there for more reasons than one.
