Predators Rumors: Forward Likely to Generate Trade Interest

The Nashville Predators are in the middle of a retooling period, and they made several notable moves since last season because of it. Although they are in the playoff hunt, it is also quite possible that we will see them make more changes as they continue to move toward a new chapter for their franchise.
Due to this, teams will be contacting the Predators a lot leading up to the deadline.

According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, Colton Sissons is one Predators forward who is expected to generate trade interest over these next few weeks.

Sissons, 30, is currently on pace to have the best season of his career, as he has 12 goals to go along with 22 points in 45 games played thus far. To put things into better perspective, his career-high in goals is 15 and his career-high in points is 30. As a result, he is well on his way to having the best campaign of his career.

Sissons carries a $2,857,143 million cap hit until the completion of the 2025-26 season, so he would be far more than just a rental if acquired by another team. When noting that he produces decent offense in a middle-six role and is an effective penalty killer, there could be a number of playoff teams that will look to add him over the next several weeks.
