Senators Rumors: 2 New Teams Linked to Jakob Chychrun

Ottawa Senators star defenseman Jakob Chychrun is one of the top players to watch between now and the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the possibility of him being moved by the Sens, and interest in his services is starting to increase because of it.

Teams like the Washington Capitals, Los Angeles Kings, and Calgary Flames have been linked to him over the last few weeks, but now two teams have entered the sweepstakes. According to The Fourth Period, the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues are both linked to Chychrun.

The Red Wings were one of the many teams who were connected to Chychrun before he was dealt to the Sens from the Arizona Coyotes, so it is not all that surprising to hear that they are interested in him again. They are expected to be buyers at the deadline, and they could use a legitimate top-pairing defenseman before the playoffs begin. With that, they have the assets to pull of such a move.

As for the Blues, they have been trending in the right direction as of late and could be buyers because of it. Chychrun would be a major addition to their blue line and give them the true number-one defenseman that they are lacking right now. Thus, do not rule out that the Blues are big suitors for Chychrun over these next few weeks from here.
