Vancouver Canucks Forward Placed On LTIR

The Vancouver Canucks will be without forward Phillip Di Giuseppe for a while, as the Canucks have placed him on long-term injured reserve (LTIR).

Di Giuseppe suffered an injury in the club's recent game against the Ottawa Senators and missed their last game against the St. Louis Blues because of it. Now, we have confirmation that he will need to miss a month of action given this LTIR placement.

This is certainly not the best news for the Canucks, as Di Giuseppe is a good energy player for the team's bottom six. In 32 games this season with the Canucks so far, he currently has three goals, five assists, and a plus-4 rating. While he has not been dominant offensively, he has made an impact with his solid defensive play and aggressiveness.

While it is certainly bad news that Di Giuseppe is going to miss a good amount of the time, the Canucks also got defenseman Carson Soucy back from his stint on LTIR. He is an important defenseman on their roster, so their blue line will be improving with his return.

Yet, we will need to wait and see how the Canucks now do without Di Giuseppe in their lineup from here.
