Video: Senators Anton Forsberg Goes Down With Ugly Injury
Things are going from bad to worse for the Ottawa Senators as they can't seem to get on track in the win columns and on Thursday night, lost goaltender Anton Forsberg to an apparent groin injury.
Forsberg was helped off the ice after making a save during the opening frame against the Buffalo Sabres and did not return. He's set to undergo a MRI on Friday, according to new/old Senators coach Jacque Martin.

The Senators turned to Joonas Korpisalo for the rest of the game, but it didn't matter because the Sabres were all over them from puck drop and ended up winning the game 5-3. Ottawa is now 14-23-0 on the season, dead last in the Eastern Conference.
Forsberg has a history of injuries and has gone down with MCL tears in both of his knees. This happened last February and almost a year removed, another scary incident. Tough luck for the Swedish netminder.
As for Korpisalo, he's expected to get most of the run in January now, with trade talks heating up in a major way in Ottawa. GM Steve Staios is looking to re-tool his roster on the fly and Korpisalo and his inflated contract have been linked in several of the conversations.
