Avalanche Rumors: Senators Forward On Team's Radar

The Colorado Avalanche are preparing to be buyers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. It is clear that they are aiming to add to their forward group, as they have been linked to several notable forwards over the last few weeks.

One of the players whom the Avalanche have been connected to as of late is Ottawa Senators winger Vladimir Tarasenko. With Tarasenko having an expiring contract and the Senators among the worst teams in the NHL, he is expected to be moved in the near future.

The Avalanche could certainly use a winger like Tarasenko. He would give them a big boost in the goal scoring department and would be an obvious fit in their top six. He could play on their second line and give that trio a big boost. Along with that, he would also be an obvious addition for their power play, as his high skill level makes him a major threat on the man advantage.

With most of the top centers already being moved, the Avalanche are in a position to bring in a star winger like Tarasenko for the playoffs. With him, their offense would improve greatly. With the Avalanche being legitimate contenders, it is also very likely that Tarasenko would accept a move there.

We will now need to wait and see if the Avalanche's interest in Tarasenko leads to them landing him before the trade deadline passes from here.
