Blue Jackets Rumors: 3 Players Will Be Moved By Trade Deadline

As the NHL trade deadline looms, the Columbus Blue Jackets are gearing up for significant roster changes, with Sean Kuraly, Alexandre Texier, and Erik Gudbranson reportedly on the trading block.

All three players are expected to be moved by the March 8th trade deadline.

Kuraly, known for his playoff experience and solid checking-line abilities, could be a sought-after asset for contending teams looking to bolster their depth for a playoff push.

The 31-year-old has nine goals, 15 points, and 124 hits across 49 games played this season.

Despite his value to the team both on and off the ice, the Blue Jackets may be willing to part ways with Kuraly as they seek to address other areas of their roster.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Texier, once touted as a promising forward, has struggled to find his footing in the NHL this season.

Still, he's on track for a career-best season, amassing eight goals and 18 total points over 54 games this season.

With his role reduced within the team and the emergence of younger talents, Texier's future in Columbus appears uncertain.

The Blue Jackets may explore trade opportunities for Texier to potentially acquire assets that can help balance their roster and address areas of need.

Similarly, Erik Gudbranson's leadership and physical presence on the blue line make him a valuable asset for the Blue Jackets.

Gudbranson is also having a career-best season points-wise, scoring three goals, 17 total points, a -10 plus/minus rating, and 121 blocked shots over 53 games played this season.

However, with the team's defensive depth and the need to make room for emerging prospects, Gudbranson's departure via trade could be a possibility. Photo Credit: Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports
