Blues Rumors: Defenseman Standing Out as Trade Candidate

The St. Louis Blues are an interesting team heading toward the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. While they are fighting to cement a playoff spot in the Western Conference, players like Colton Parayko and Pavel Buchnevich have been discussed a lot in the rumor mill in recent weeks. However, they are not the only two Blues who could find new homes before the deadline passes.

In The Fourth Period's most recent Trade Watch list, defenseman Torey Krug made an appearance in its "Bubble List" tier.

Krug is certainly not a stranger to the rumor mill, as he was a major topic of discussion during the offseason and was reportedly almost moved to the Philadelphia Flyers but rejected it. However, now with the trade deadline almost here, he is once again right back in trade chatter.

Krug could generate some interest around the league from teams looking to add an offensive defenseman to their roster. He has been on fire lately, as he has one goal and eight assists over his last five games. That naturally could get the attention of some possible suitors.

We will need to wait and see what happens with Krug from here. He will have a complete say over a potential move, though, as he has a full no-trade clause.
