Blues Rumors: Latest On Pavel Buchnevich's Trade Market

St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich has been picking up a ton of steam in the rumor mill as we inch closer to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. There have been rumblings that the Blues are open to moving the star forward and are hearing offers for him.

With Buchnevich being a legitimate top-six forward, he is understandably garnering plenty of interest as of late. According to The Fourth Period's latest Trade Watch List, the Vegas Golden Knights, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Vancouver Canucks are all currently linked to him.

There is no question that each of these clubs could use a high-impact forward like Buchnevich as they prepare for the postseason. He would be a major addition each club's top six if acquired, as he can play both on the wing and down the middle. Along with that, he can play on both the power play and penalty kill, as he has shown with the Blues this campaign.

While the Blues do not necessarily need to trade Buchnevich, there is no question that they could receive a massive return for him. This is especially so with so many teams being interested in bringing him in. We will need to wait and see what ends up happening with Buchnevich over the next week from here.
