Bruins Rumors: Flyers Forward On Team's Radar

The Boston Bruins have been struggling as of late, as they have lost four straight games. Along with this, they also have fallen to second place in the Atlantic Division due to the Florida Panthers' extremely strong play.

Due to their struggles, the Bruins are expected to make additions to their roster before the deadline. One specific need they are looking to address is their middle six. Because of this, they are starting to emerge as a suitor for Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Laughton.

Laughton would be a big addition to the Bruins' roster if acquired. This is because he not only contributes offensively but also plays a steady game defensively and provides plenty of grit in the process. Along with that, he is known for his excellent leadership skills, which is why he is an alternate captain for the Flyers.

If the Bruins acquired Laughton, he would work as their third-line center. However, due to his versatility, he also would be an option on the wing in their top six. With that, he would work on their power play because of his strong net-front presence ability and on their penalty kill due to his effective defensive play.

The Bruins are in a position to bring in a high-impact forward like Laughton, so it makes sense that they are starting to be connected to him. We will need to wait and see if the Bruins and Flyers strike a deal centering around the veteran forward from here.
