Bruins Rumors: Senators Star Forward Becoming Trade Target

The Boston Bruins have been struggling as of late, as they have won just three out of their last 10 games. It is clear that they need to make some changes to their group if they hope to actually make a real push this postseason and avoid another first-round exit.

One specific need they have is another scoring winger, and they have been browsing the trade market for one over the last few weeks. Yet, it appears that they have a new player on their radar, as they reportedly are one of the many clubs eyeing Ottawa Senators forward Vladimir Tarasenko.

Tarasenko is expected to be moved before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes, as he has an expiring contract, and the Senators are well out of the playoff race. When noting that he is still a solid top-six winger, the Bruins would benefit by bringing him into their group.

Tarasenko would be an obvious fit on the Bruins' second line if acquired. Along with that, he would work on their power play because of his playmaking ability.

If the Senators retain half of Tarasenko's salary, it would make sense for the Bruins to make a serious push for him over these next few weeks. We will now need to wait and see if they end up landing him before the deadline passes from here.
