Coyotes Rumors: 6 Teams Connected to Matt Dumba

The Arizona Coyotes were a feel-good story for much of this season. After being one of the worst teams in the NHL over the last few seasons, they started this campaign off well and were very much in the playoff race. However, they are now sporting an 11-game losing streak and have crushed their playoff hopes. Because of this, they are going to be sellers at the deadline.

One Coyotes player who has been picking up plenty of attention in the rumor mill as of late is Matt Dumba because of it. It appears that a market is forming for him as well, as The Fourth Period reported that the Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, and Boston Bruins are all teams that could be interested in the veteran defenseman.

There's no question that each of the teams listed by TFP could use some help on the right side of their defenses as they prepare for the postseason. It is why all of them have been connected to multiple defensemen over the last few weeks, so it is not surprising to hear that they are being viewed as suitors for Dumba.

Dumba has appeared in 52 games this season with the Yotes, where he has four goals to go along with nine points, and 134 hits. While his offense is down this campaign, he is still a defenseman who can play plenty of minutes and provide physicality in the process.

We will need to wait and see if Dumba gets dealt to one of these clubs before the deadline passes from here.
