Devils' Jack Hughes Takes Big Step Forward In Injury Recovery

It appears that the New Jersey Devils could be getting their superstar center back in the near future. This is because Jack Hughes returned to practice today (Feb. 5) for the club.

Hughes skated at practice with a grey non-contact jersey. While he is still not ready to return to full contact activities, it is awesome to see that the superstar forward has made another key step closer to returning to action.
Hughes, 22, has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since Jan. 5's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Devils have certainly been missing him from their lineup, as they are on a two-game losing streak and sport a 3-6-1 record over their last 10 games.

While Hughes' return to practice does not mean that his return is imminent, it is clear that he has made enough progress to skate with the club. That is simply excellent news for both the player and the team.

In 32 games this season with the Devils, Hughes has 15 goals to go along with 45 points. Overall, he is once again having a spectacular season, and it will be great once he is fully good to go to and able to build on it from here.
