Devils Rumors: Tyler Toffoli Linked to Former Club

With the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline roughly one week away, the New Jersey Devils currently do not hold a playoff spot. If they struggle over their next couple of games, there is a chance that pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) Tyler Toffoli could be on the move.

The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta also shared an intriguing development, as he reported that the Los Angeles Kings have expressed interest in a reunion with Toffoli.

Earlier today (Feb. 28), we here at NHL Trade Rumors discussed the prospect of the Kings making a push for Toffoli, as they have been searching the trade market for scoring help due to multiple of their players being sidelined. Now, we have confirmation that interest is, in fact, there.

Toffoli would be a strong addition to the Kings' top six, as he would provide them with a high-impact sniper. With that, he, of course, would give them another option to work with on their power play.

Toffoli, 31, has appeared in 58 games this season with the Devils, where he as 25 goals to go along with 42 points. Overall, the veteran forward is once again having a solid campaign, and the Kings could certainly use that kind of production right now.

We will need to wait and see if the Kings and Devils end up striking a deal centering around Toffoli before the deadline passes from here. It would make for quite the reunion.
