Ducks Rumors: 2 New Teams Eyeing Frank Vatrano

Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano is a trade target who could be on the move before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes. It is understandable, as he is having a career season, and the Ducks would be wise to take advantage of his heightened trade value, as they are, of course, in the middle of a rebuild.

Vatrano has naturally been generating trade interest around the league over the last several weeks because of it, as he has been connected to the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, and Colorado Avalanche. However, it appears that two new clubs are now expressing interest in Vatrano, as the Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes are linked to him, according to The Fourth Period.

While the Maple Leafs' top objective should be to add a defenseman, they would also benefit by adding to their middle six as well. They need more secondary scoring if they want to keep up with the NHL's top contenders, and Vatrano would give them just that. Along with that, he also provides physicality, which is something that Toronto could use more of.

The Hurricanes have been looking for scoring help, so it is understandable that they now have Vatrano on their radar. He would be a good fit on their second line and would, of course, work beautifully on their power play.

We will need to wait and see where Vatrano ends up landing from here, but it is clear that his trade market is only continuing to get bigger.
