Flyers Reveal The Concerning News On Jamie Drysdale
Depressing news for the Philadelphia Flyers as they've received word that impressive youngster Jamie Drysdale will be out week-to-week with a shoulder injury and merely "hopes" to return this season.
Word on Jamie Drysdale is he's out week-to-week with the hope he will be able to return this season. Good luck to him, he's had enough injury trouble https://t.co/RghdDvqTfv

Another tough break for a kid who's had plenty of injury troubles in his young career, as Elliotte Friedman alluded to. The injury occurred on Sunday in a game versus the Pittsburgh Penguins when Drysdale was crushed in the left shoulder on a neutral zone hit by Jansen Harkins.
That's the same shoulder in which Drysdale suffered a torn labrum in late 2022, a season-ending injury which took six months of recovery time. Now, less than six months after making it back, he's dealing with another injury to the shoulder, though at this point it doesn't sound quite as serious as last year's.
Drysdale had been a solid contributor on the Flyers blueline since being acquired earlier this season in a sudden surprising trade from the Anaheim Ducks for former Philly No. 5 pick Cutter Gauthier (2022 Draft). Drysdale was the 6th overall selection in 2020 by the Ducks.
The 21-year-old was logging 19:43 time on ice this season with nine points in 27 games.
This news could certainly change the Flyers' deadline plans, with two other key defenseman, Nick Seeler and Sean Walker being prime trade candidates for months now. They might have to hang on to both, who are each impending UFAs. Philly is currently solidly in a playoff spot, in 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division.
