Kings Forward: Young Forward Linked to Blackhawks
Los Angeles Kings forward Arthur Kaliyev has emerged as a notable trade candidate as we continue to inch closer to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. It is apparent that the young forward needs a change of scenery, and the Kings are reportedly open to moving him.
With Kaliyev being a young forward with good upside, he is beginning to generate some interest in the trade market. One specific club that is starting to make a push for the winger is the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks are rebuilding and naturally are in a position to take a chance on a player like Kaliyev. This is because he is a former top prospect who is still just 22 years old and who has already had some success at the NHL level. For example, during the 2022-23 season, he had 13 goals and 28 points in 56 games.
If Kaliyev were to be traded to the Blackhawks, it would provide him the chance to play more consistent minutes, potentially in their top six. Along with that, he would also be an obvious fit for their power play because of his high offensive IQ.
Kaliyev would also provide the Blackhawks with a skilled winger to play with top rookie Connor Bedard, so there could be a great match here. We will need to wait and see if they land him from here.
