Kings Rumors: Predators Star Goalie On Team's Radar

The Los Angeles Kings are heading into the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline as clear buyers. This is because they are comfortably in the playoff race and are looking to improve their roster for the upcoming postseason.

One area that the Kings should be looking to make a notable upgrade at is their goaltending. While Cam Talbot and David Rittich have had their solid moments this season, they would benefit by adding a legitimate star between the pipes. Because of this, they are one of the main teams being linked to Nashville Predators netminder Juuse Saros.

Saros' name has been picking up a lot of steam in the rumor mill over the last few weeks. There is a real feeling that the star goaltender could find a new home before the deadline passes, especially with top prospect Yaroslav Askarov looking ready to be a full-time NHL goaltender. Due to this, the Kings are stepping up their efforts to land him.

Bringing in Saros would make the Kings a much bigger threat in the Western Conference, as it would give them far more stability in the net. As a result, this is a move that they should be working hard to make.

Saros has been generating interest from other teams, however, as the Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, and New Jersey Devils have all been linked to him in recent weeks. Thus, the Kings have competition to successfully land him.
