Kings Rumors: Senators Forward On Team's Radar

The Los Angeles Kings' forward group was hit with some brutal injury news earlier this week, as Viktor Arvidsson reinjured himself, and there's a chance that this injury will keep him out week-to-week, as reported by NHL insider Kevin Weekes. With the Kings looking to cement themselves a playoff spot, losing one of their key forwards is not ideal in the slightest.

Because of this, there are rumblings that the Kings are starting to browse the trade market for a scoring winger. With this, one specific player whom they are keeping an eye on is Ottawa Senators winger Vladimir Tarasenko.

With the Senators well out of the playoff race, the expectation is that Tarasenko will be moved before the deadline, as he is a pending unrestricted free agent. Some clubs who have been linked to him include the Tampa Bay Lightning, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, and Florida Panthers. Now, the Kings are a team to watch as well.

Tarasenko would be a great addition to the Kings' roster, as he is still a strong point producer at this juncture of his excellent career. Along with that, he would give their power play a big boost because of his playmaking skills.

The Kings are in a position to make a splash in their forward group, and bringing in a high-impact forward like Tarasenko would be just that. Let's see if they land him from here.
