New York Rangers Call Up Top Prospect

The New York Rangers have made a notable move, as they have recalled top prospect Brennan Othmann from the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Seeing Othmann get called back up will certainly get the attention of Rangers fans, as he is one of the top prospects in their system. He is viewed as having a very bright future in the NHL, and now he is getting another chance to show the club what he can do.

Othmann, 21, has appeared in three games this season with the Rangers, where he has zero points. While he has yet to get on the scoresheet at the NHL level, he will now have the chance to change that with this latest recall.

Othmann is having a strong season down in the AHL with the Wolf Pack, as he has 14 goals to go along with 36 points in 44 games played. That is a strong season from the youngster but especially when noting that this is his first professional season in North America.

The Rangers are smart to call up Othmann right now, as both Artemi Panarin and Jimmy Vesey are dealing with day-to-day injuries. Thus, the first-round pick should get into some action from here. We will need to wait and see how much of an impact he makes during his recall.
