NHL Rumors: 10 Top Prospects Who Could Be Traded Before '24 Deadline
The NHL trade deadline is set for March 8 and there's expected to be a number of transactions coming down the pipe before the big day. While we've already seen a flurry of moves throughout all-star weekend, the action is expected to continue.
So who is going to be traded? The two biggest centers are off the board, there's a number of defensemen still out there and even the goalie market is heating up of late. There's also prospects and lots of them. Steven Ellis of Daily Faceoff recently published an article and named 10 prospects who he felt could potentially be traded ahead of the deadline.
Philip Broberg, Edmonton Oilers
Alex Turcotte, Los Angeles Kings
Ville Heinola, Winnipeg Jets
Yaroslav Askarov, Nashville Predators
Johnny Beecher, Boston Bruins
Oskar Olausson, Colorado Avalanche
Matyas Sapovaliv, Vegas Golden Knights
Jonatan Berggren, Detroit Red Wings
Seamus Casey, New Jersey Devils
Scott Morrow, Carolina Hurricanes
Askarov is the most unique name on the list as he's been labelled the goalie of the future in Nashville and they've started to take calls on starter Juuse Saros. The Preds, among the rest of the teams, have some serious decisions to make before March 8.
