NHL Rumors: Bruins & Sharks Becoming Possible Trade Partners

The Boston Bruins are looking to add to their roster before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes. It is entirely understandable, as they are among the top teams in the NHL. One specific area that they are aiming to improve is their middle six, and they have been browsing the trade market because of it.

The San Jose Sharks, on the other hand, are preparing to be major sellers at the deadline. One player who they are shopping is pending unrestricted free agent Alexander Barabanov. With the Bruins needing help in their middle six, he is standing out as a prime trade target for them.

Barabanov would work nicely on the Bruins' second line or third line and would also be a clear fit on their power play. This is because he is a solid playmaking forward when performing at his highest level. With that, his offense could go up playing on a much better Bruins team, as he would have more skilled players to work with.

Barabanov, 29, has struggled this season, posting just three goals and nine points in 31 games. However, he also had 47 points in 68 games just last season, so there's no question that he has the potential to heat back up with a change of scenery.

We will need to wait and see if the Bruins and Sharks strike a deal centering around the skilled winger from here.
