Panthers Rumors: Coyotes Forward Becoming Trade Target

The Florida Panthers are looking to add to their roster before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. It is easy to understand why, as they are one of the best teams in the NHL and are looking to become even better for the playoffs.

One specific need that the Panthers have right now is another middle-six winger. Because of this, there are rumblings that the Panthers have Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker on their radar.

The Coyotes have completely fallen in the NHL standings, as they currently are sporting an 11-game losing streak. Because of this, their playoff hopes have fallen off significantly, and they will be sellers at the deadline. With Zucker having an expiring deal, he is expected to be moved, and the Panthers are now a possible landing spot for it.

Zucker would be a strong addition to the Panthers' lineup. He would be a fit on their second line or their third line, as he is a solid point producer who not only has skill but also provides some grit in the process. He would also be an obvious fit on their power play because of his strong net-front presence ability.

Zucker, 32, has appeared in 46 games this season with the Coyotes, where he has eight goals to go along with 22 points.

We will need to wait and see if the Coyotes and Panthers strike a deal centering Zucker by the deadline from here.
