Rangers Rumors: 4 Teams Named as Top Landing Spots for Kaapo Kakko

New York Rangers forward Kaapo Kakko has been picking up a lot of steam in the rumor mill over the last few weeks. With the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline now less than one month away, that is only going to continue from here. It is clear that the young forward could use a change of scenery, and now there's a chance that he will get one.

Because of this, in a recent article for The Bleacher Report, Adam Gretz listed the Ottawa Senators, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, and Chicago Blackhawks as the top potential landing spots for Kakko.

The Senators certainly could use a young forward like Kakko in their lineup. This is especially so when noting that the team could very well be moving on from two pending UFAs in Vladimir Tarasenko and Dominik Kubalik at the deadline.

The Ducks are in a prime position to take a chance on Kakko. They are rebuilding, and he would be a great fit on their roster given his young age. Perhaps joining a rebuilding team and having more opportunities could allow him to take that next step in his development.

The Kings are in the middle of the playoff race, but things have gone poorly for them over the last month. Thus, they are expected to make some changes to their group, and bringing in Kakko to their middle six could be worthwhile because of it.

As for the Blackhawks, they are like the Ducks, as they are rebuilding and could be a marvelous spot for Kakko because of it. He would get the chance to play with Connor Bedard and could become a bigger offensive threat in the process.
