Sharks: 3 Teams Interested In Couture That Could Acquire Him In Near Future

As the San Jose Sharks are in full seller mode, even the likes of Logan Couture are on the trade block. It was reported by David Pagnotta that the Sharks are listening on everyone other than a couple of young studs.

Couture's injury could keep him out long-term, meaning he may not be available again this season. Pagnotta said that if a move happens, it is likely one that will occur in the offseason instead of at the trade deadline. Couture does have a three-team trade list, but is willing to consider other options if it gets him to a winning team and into a good situation.

Couture is a veteran of 933 regular season games and 116 playoff games, but he has been with the Sharks his entire career and hasn't won a Stanley Cup. He won't get the chance in San Jose with how long the rebuild is expected to be, so it is likely the 34-year-old would be pretty open on teams he would go to to finish his contract that has another three years on it.

There are a few interesting teams that have expressed interest in Couture already, including the Nashville Predators, Buffalo Sabres, and Ottawa Senators. All three are younger teams looking for some more veteran help down the middle and should have some room after this season to take on a chunk of the contract that Couture has. We will likely hear more about this situation later in the season and into the offseason.
