Sharks Rumors: New Suitor Emerges for Anthony Duclair

The San Jose Sharks are gearing up to be sellers for the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. With the club rebuilding, it is apparent that their many pending unrestricted free agents (UFA) stand a good shot of being dealt. One of them is forward Anthony Duclair.

Duclair has been generating some attention in the rumor mill. Some teams who have been linked to him at this stage of the season include the Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche, and Vegas Golden Knights. However, it appears that a new team has him on their radar, as The Fourth Period reported that the New York Rangers are now linked to him.

With the Rangers needing some help on the wing, it is not surprising that they are eyeing Duclair. There has been some speculation over the prospect of Duclair and the Rangers reuniting at points this season, but this report from The Fourth Period confirms that New York has a real interest in him.

Duclair would be a nice addition to the Rangers' middle six, as he is a solid point producer when performing at his best. With that, his smart offensive instincts would make him a strong addition to their second power play unit.

Duclair has struggled a bit this season with the Sharks, as he has just nine goals and 17 points in 46 games. However, there's a real shot that his offense would go back up playing on a much better team like the Rangers. Let's see if they land him from here.
