WATCH: Sidney Crosby Missed All-Star Draft For Solo Workout on ODR
NHL All-Star weekend unofficially kicked off on Thursday with the All-Star draft and while the who's who of the NHL were on hand, there was one massive omission from the guest list. Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins was not in attendance, and a youngster and current TimBit hockey player got to take his place in the festivities.
Why wasn't Crosby in attendance like every other all-star you ask? Well, turns out he was getting a solo work out in on an outdoor rink in Montana. Yes, you read that correctly, as that's the most Crosby-like thing ever:

Crosby recorded a thank you video which was played throughout the broadcast and of course, it appeared there were some side agreements about where he'd land in the draft as his close buddy Nathan MacKinnon was able to scoop him up with their first-round pick.
