Wild Rumors: 2 Teams Eyeing Marc-Andre Fleury

The Minnesota Wild are expected to be sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, as they have struggled significantly this season. Due to this, one player who all fans will be keeping an eye on over these next few weeks is future Hall of Famer Marc-Andre Fleury.

Fleury will have a final say over whether or not he gets traded, as he has a full no-movement clause. However, that is not stopping teams from expressing interest, as The Fourth Period is reporting that the Colorado Avalanche and New Jersey Devils are both linked to Fleury.

The Avalanche have been viewed as a possible landing spot for Fleury for a good amount of time now, as they are looking to add a backup goalie to lower Alexandar Georgiev's workload. As a result, bringing in a strong 1B like Fleury would be big for them. With that, he also could improve having a far better Avalanche defense in front of him, so it has the potential to benefit both the player and the team.

As for the Devils, their biggest objective at the deadline is to add another goalie. Goaltending has been their biggest issue this season, and bringing in a player like Fleury could be a way to help fix that. He would give them an experienced goaltender who has a plethora of success, so there could be a great match here.

We will need to wait and see if either team ends up landing Fleury before the deadline passes from here.
